Brian J. Gillette
Brian Gillette became a disability lawyer because he wanted to help people.
He’s found a way with his Virginia-based disability practice. He explains, “My clients are often in dire straits since they aren’t able to work and have lost their income. When I win benefits for them, I know I’m helping a whole family.”
Early in his legal career, Brian worked for personal injury law firms, where he sharpened his skills presenting a strong case for each of his clients. He realized it was Social Security disability clients he enjoyed helping the most. In 2007, he left to start the Gillette Law Group, PLLC, helping people unable to work obtain disability benefits.
Brian lives in Williamsburg and he helps people throughout Virginia, including Richmond, Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and surrounding areas.
He was born in Washington, D.C., grew up in Maryland, and attended law school at The College of William and Mary in Virginia. His mother was an elementary school principal and his dad worked for a firm that helps disabled people with prosthetics get the help they need. Brian is married with four children.
Brian currently volunteers his time as a Member of the Board of Directors of both the Center for Child and Family Services, Inc. and the Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Foundation. He is also a Member of the Board of Governors of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and is the Chair of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Social Security Law Section.
