The SSA has recently launched a new online option to request an appointment to file for SSI. We think this is great news! Anyone can make a request online, all you have to do is answer a few questions and it takes less than five minutes.
The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program is an important program that provides monthly payments to people who are 65 and older, and to adults and children with disabilities who have low income and few resources. It’s an important program for people facing barriers such as veterans, people struggling with homelessness, mental illness, and other challenges.
